Two signals, HW5x1.xls and HW5x2.xls shown in the figure below have been sampled
eight times per cycle (sampling rate = 480).
An instantaneous current relay is to be designed with a
pickup of 5 amps (RMS).
- Model
a TOC relay with U.S. Inverse (U2) characteristics for the case when Ipu =
5A rms with a TDS of 1.
- Plot
the relay disk position with respect to time as demonstrated in Lecture
15.
- Verify
the relay operation with the family of curves shown in Figure 4.5 of the
text.
- Complete
parts 1 through 3 above for both signals.
- Compare
the results and discuss results
